FAQs

If you’re a food blogger, this intensive one to three day event (depending on city) will bring you up-to-speed on all the latest tools and tactics for building buzz, improving SEO, growing your audience and making money from your hard work. Throughout the day there will be giveaway prizes including  appliances, cookbooks, etc. and each attendee will receive a nifty gift bag.

Why is the format so fast-paced?

Each panelist is asked before their appearance to bring three useful tips that bloggers can implement themselves from day-one. Providing so much useful information means there’s little time during the panels for long-winded speeches that are off-topic or overtly self-promotional. This TECHmunch format moves quickly, and keeps attendees and panelists focused.

What’s included with the registration fee?

Registration covers your admission ticket, lunch and beverages (including cocktails) during the mixer.  We usually have snacks throughout the day, but please plan as necessary if you have special dietary needs.

What kind of food is provided?

All kinds! While each venue is different, we always do our best to provide a tasty and thoughtful menu throughout the day.

Who’s produces TECHmunch?

TECHmunch is produced by BakeSpace.com – the Web’s largest food-themed social network, and a 2010/2009 Webby Award Nominee for Best Social Network.

Is there a Twitter hashtag for TECHmunch?

Yes, it’s #TECHmunch. Once at the venue, please feel free to check-in to your favorite location-based apps… we usually create a TECHmunch venue on FourSquare, Gowalla, Whrrl, etc.

Is the event streamed live on the web?

We’re working on that. Follow us at @BakeSpace for updates.

I already bought my ticket, but found out I won’t be able to attend. Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, we can only allow pass transfers. We have many variable costs (e.g., food, beverages, seating, etc.) associated with producing TECHmunch, and canceling before the event simply doesn’t give us enough time to sell your spot to someone else.

I’d like to interview one or more speakers and /or the event producer? How can I reach them?

Awesome! If you’re a journalist (blogger or traditional media) and would like to interview any of our speakers (past or present), please let us know by sending an email to erikd{at}excelpr[dot]com.

What should I do if I’m interested in speaking at #TECHmunch?
